Looking Ahead...
The Rogers Royals football team made history in only its second season. They earned their first victory in a 25-7 handling
of Monticello. This was a glorious night for the Royals, capping it off with the fans storming the field after the historic
win. Finally, the Royals were able to put together a solid night playing strong on both offense and defense. This was truly
the greatest moment in Rogers Football history, with hopefully many more to come.
Although we have to say goodbye to 16 seniors, there is still a strong core that will be returning for next season. Some
of the key returning players are: QB Logan Kingren, WR Chad Christian, RB Tyler Hanson, OT Trent Grupa, RB Josh Schultz, S
Marshall DeWerd, LB Beau Musjerd, T Adam Goodwin and DE Luke Lee. The Royals should have a solid season next year moving into
the Mississippi 8 Conference. They will be a lot more competetive in their new conference, playing teams that are more their
size. Overall, their second season was much more successful than the first, and they hope to build on and continue that success.
